Session Breakdown:
  • Module 1:
    Creating an Overall Plan: Develop a detailed plan for the test development project, including test components, rationale, purpose, and usage.

  • Module 2:
    Domain Definition and Claim Statement: Conceptually and operationally define the test domain and develop clear utility statements.

  • Module 3:
    Content Specification Development: Create content specifications (blueprint) to guide item development, test assembly, scoring, reporting, and interpretation.

  • Module 4:
    Item Development: Identify suitable item formats, develop items, and obtain face validity evidence.

  • Module 5:
    Test Design and Assembly, Test Production: Design test format, scoring rules, scaling, and equating, and create the final test form.

  • Module 6:
    Pre-testing and Data Collection for Test Standardization: Pre-test the test form, standardize test administration, and collect normative data.

  • Module 7+8:
    Item and Test Analysis (CTT and IRT): Conduct item and test analysis using Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT) to ensure reliability.

  • Module 9+10:
    Validity Study Design, Administration, and Analysis: Plan and execute studies to examine the test's construct and predictive validity.

  • Module 11+12:
    Report Design and Development, User Manual: Create report designs, choose between options, develop report content, and create the user manual.
    Preparing Documentation for Test Review: Prepare and submit documentation for review by accrediting organizations like BPS and IIBP.
