Welcome to the BPS Level-1 & 2 Psychometric Testing Certification Workshop offered by The Psychometric World. This workshop is designed for professionals eager to achieve certification that qualifies them to enter the British Register of Qualified Test Users (RQTU). The course provides a comprehensive understanding of psychometric testing principles and practices, equipping participants to effectively use and interpret various psychometric assessments.

Course Overview

The BPS Level-1 & 2 Certification is a rigorous program that blends theoretical knowledge with practical skills. This instructor-led course guides participants through the essentials of psychometric testing, covering areas such as testing for ability, personality, and the application of tests in occupational settings. Upon completion, participants will be assessed by a BPS-accredited evaluator and, if successful, entered into the prestigious RQTU.

Course Structure

The workshop is spread over six interactive sessions, each lasting 3 hours, scheduled over six consecutive Saturdays. This structure allows participants to immerse themselves fully in the learning process, with ample opportunities for practice and feedback.

  • Module 2: Testing for Ability
    Understanding psychological constructs, measurement principles, and practical skills in testing for abilities.
  • Module 3: Personality Testing Using Trait Inventory
    Delve into personality constructs, measurement principles, and the application of personality tests in organizational contexts.
  • Module 4: Using Tests for Selection
    Learn how to effectively use psychometric tests for employee selection and recruitment.
  • Module 5: Using Tests for Development
    Explore the use of psychometric tests in employee development and performance management.
  • Module 6: Ethics in Test Administration and Interpretation

    Certification Process

    Upon successful completion of the course and evaluation by Dr. Stephen Woods, a BPS-verified assessor, participants will receive three certifications:

    1. Assistant Test User (ATU)
    2. Test User: Occupational - Ability (TUA)
    3. Test User: Occupational - Personality (TUP)

    These certifications will qualify participants for entry into the RQTU, opening up new professional opportunities in the field of psychometric testing.
